Suriya 44: Shriya Saran confirms special song in Karthik Subbaraj’s film

Actor Shriya recently confirmed her involvement in a special song in Suriya 44, a gangster drama directed by Karthik Subbaraj. At the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, speaking about her role, she revealed, “I did a song in Suriya Sir’s movie. It was lovely shooting for it. I think the song is coming out in December.”
The song, filmed on a specially constructed set in Goa, promises to be a visual extravaganza, highlighting Shriya’s grace and energy. The dance number, which also features Suriya, is expected to be one of the film’s standout moments.
Shriya also touched on her upcoming pan-India project, saying, “I am working on an upcoming pan-India project, and the shooting will start in three days.” However, she refrained from disclosing further details about the project.

The makers of Suriya 44 recently wrapped up filming, with post-production currently underway. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and features a stellar supporting cast, including Jayaram, Joju George, and Karunakaran. Set for a grand release on April 10, 2025, the movie boasts music by Santosh Narayanan and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. It is co-produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films.
